Change of Supplier

Every consumer of electricity connected to ENION S.A. network, including household consumers, has the right to change the Supplier.  

This means that they can purchase electricity from electricity Supplier of their own choice. 

Change of Supplier procedure in ENION S.A.

 How to change the Supplier:
 

  1. As the first step in Supplier change procedure, the Consumer must sign electricity purchase agreement with the new (selected) Supplier.
    A Supplier can sell electricity to Consumers connected to ENION S.A. network provided that the Supplier has signed electricity distribution service agreement with ENION S.A. (OSD).

  2. As the next step, the Consumer should terminate the agreement with existing Supplier, subject to termination provisions and dates specified in the existing electricity purchase agreement combined with  the distribution service agreement (the so-called Type 1 General Agreement), or in electricity purchase agreement. 
  3. Then, the Consumer and the new Supplier should complete and sign Purchase Agreement Notification Form. A signed form can be submitted to ENION S.A. in person, or sent by mail. Once the document is submitted, Supplier change procedure may be initiated.

  4. Within 5 working days from the date of document receipt (Purchase Agreement Notification), submitted document is verified by ENION S.A..

    - If there are mistakes in the document, the document is not approved, and both the Consumer and the new Supplier are notified to the point. Supplier     change procedure is closed.
    - If the data in the document is accurate, the document is approved, and both the Consumer and the new Supplier are notified to the point.
     
  5. a) In the event when it is determined that metering and billing systems must be adjusted in accordance with the requirements specified in ENION Distribution Network Operational Manual (Instrukcja Ruchu i Eksploatacji Sieci Dystrybucyjnej ENION/IRiESD), the owner of the system, that is ENION – in the case of customers from low voltage connection class 4 and 5 – is obliged to adjust those systems at its own expense.
    b) In the event when it is determined that metering and billing systems must be adjusted in accordance with the requirements specified in ENION Distribution Network Operational Manual (IRiESD), Consumers classified under medium and high voltage class 2, 3 and 4 are obliged to adjust those systems at their own expense.
     
  6. When the Consumer has not entered into electricity distribution service agreement with ENION S.A., such an agreement must be concluded as a next step in Supplier change procedure. To that purpose, Consumer shall receive two copies of distribution service agreement, to be signed by the Consumer.  The Consumer (or the Supplier authorized by the Consumer) should sign the agreement and submit it to ENION S.A. 10 days prior to agreement effective date, at the latest.
     
  7. Once all technical and legal requirements are satisfied, ENION S.A. shall assign metering point and the Consumer to the new Supplier.
     
  8. As the final step of Supplier change procedure, metering and billing system readings must be taken. Readings data is then provided to the old and the new Supplier.
